Assignment 4
So our next assignment looks to be pretty hefty, and is due February 5th by 11:59pm. It looks like we need to write up a detailed description for an assignment of our choice relating to our PBL topic that demonstrates cultural understanding and global awareness. We could do something like different birds in different cultures/regions and how that may effect the birdhouse style/size. If you have any ideas let me know! Or the differences in birdhouse, do they have them at all in some places if they do what do they look like compared to other regions.

I like both of your ideas, Celeste. This activity focuses on worldwide pen pals, so the main idea is to coordinate communication between our "class" of students and another "class" somewhere else in the world. Perhaps the existence of birdhouses and their types would be a good place to start as a topic? Also where they purchase materials, tools, etc.

Any ideas on what to integrate into our map project?
Well we could show the different locations that our virtual pen pals live, for instance show the distance between locations and how the terrain is different which is why certain birds can't live in certain locations? What do you think? Please do start the document and I can see if I can figure out the map thing unless Allison would like to give it a try.
DeleteIm going to look at all this stuff tomorrow and let you know if I can figure out the map. I haven't really looked at it. I set tuesdays and thursdays for this class lol. I mean we can both try and go from there. I do really like the idea of the different birds and stuff like that.
ReplyDeleteI think what we should do is chose on location to focus on for the differences in birds and bird houses. I've done some research and I was thinking in he United Kingdom, and we could do the school, West Moore Middle School.
